It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fannie C. Lea (Burlington, North Carolina), who passed away on May 11, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Mitchell C. Lea; her sons, Mitchell C. Lea, Jr. and Clyde W. Lea; and her siblings, C. W. Pennix and Myrtle P. Mackey.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Mattrick A. McCollum and George M. Lea; and her siblings, Josephine Poole, Bessie Clemons of Mebane, NC, Queen Caudle of Washington, DC, Willie T. Pennix of Rahway, NJ, Walter Pennix of Washington, DC, William Pennix (Thensa) and Larry Pennix (Iris) of Mebane, NC.. She is also survived by great grandchildren, neices, nephews and a special friend.
