She was predeceased by: her husband Jessie Ray Phillips; her parents, Bruce Whitesell and Mamie McPherson Whitesell; her son Donald Phillips; her grandsons, Wayne Phillips and Dwayne K. Phillips; and her siblings, Wayne Whitesell, Alene Boswell and Edna Wright.
She is survived by: her granddaughter-in-law Diana Urbina Phillips; her great grandchildren, Diego Urbina, Karina F. Phillips and Ray B. Phillips; her niece Geraldine Sharpe (Roy); her great-niece Debbie Stump (Jack); her great-nephews, Michael Kime (Angie) and Keith Kime (Robin); Will, Chandler, Garrett and Hayden Kime.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Alamance Memorial Park (4039 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215).
