He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred S. Lewis, Sr. and Ruth Hert Lewis; his children, Fred S. Lewis III, LeeAnn, Kathy and Donna; his grandchildren, Alexander (Juliana), Jacob, Justin, David, Carolyn, Amy and Stephanie; and his great grandchildren, Jackson and Eli.
He served in the Army Reserves for 15 years, participated in Ham Radio at marathon events, coordinated the donation of an ambulance to Montserrat island.
