He is survived by: his former wife Diane Layell; his wife Delores; his daughter Tracy Layell (Chief Warrant Officer); his grandchildren, Sydney and Carys; his stepdaughter Krystle (Brian Turner) of Liberty, NC; his stepgrandson Mason; his stepson Christopher Butler (Courtney) of Greensboro; and his stepgrandson Junior.
