Gary Weerts Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Gary Weerts (Burlington, North Carolina). Gary, born on November 26, 1940, passed away on July 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis E. Weerts and Selda Janssen Weerts; and his former wives, Penne Payne-Weerts and Jane Bracker-Weerts. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ellenberg-Weerts; his children, Alan Weerts (Cheryl) and Jori Weerts-Bradshaw (Derris); his grandchildren, Katherine Skinner, Genevieve Skinner, Jake Weerts, Ryan Weerts and Alexandra Weerts; and his siblings, Nancy Weerts-Hartwich, Kim Weerts (Debra), Beth Weerts-Manthei (Jay), Keith Weerts (Kim) and Brian Weerts. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
