Grant Sharpe Obituary
Mr. Grant Sharpe, 91, of Burlington, NC passed away at his residence on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
A native of Alamance County, NC, he was the husband of Naydine L. Sharpe, who survives and the son of James Monroe Sharpe and Lala Vaner Clapp Sharpe, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean War and retired from GKN.
Grant was a member of Alamance Lutheran Church and an associate member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He served as head usher and on the church council. Grant was a former Scoutmaster and recipient of the Order of the Arrow. He also coached youth church sports.
In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a daughter, Amy Fields of Burlington; son, Jeffrey Sharpe and wife Shawn of Burlington; four grandchildren, Tyler Atkinson (Rachel Ann), Katie Reavis (Chris), Megan Stewart, and Ryan Fields; and four great grandchildren, Teddy Atkinson, Bo Atkinson, Kai Reavis, and Rilynn Brown. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Martin.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. by The Rev. Nathan Hooks. Burial will be at Alamance Lutheran Church Cemetery.
