He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hassel Allen Sr. and Louisa Blacknall Byrd; his sons-in-law, Matt, Charlie and Rodolfo; and his grandchildren, Campbell, Marlie, Rachel, Jackson, Ruben and Florence.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Glencoe Baptist Church (2556 Glencoe St, Burlington, NC 27217). A reception was held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glencoe Baptist Church, the Wildlife Federation or the AuthoraCare Collective (Hospice).
