With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Henry Jackson Thiel Jr. of Burlington, North Carolina, born in Rockingham, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry J. Thiel Sr. and Eva Lauten Thiel; his brother Conrad "Connie" Thiel; and his grandson Ethan Perry Allison. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Anita Barefoot (Roger) of Burlington, Linda Allison (Monti) of Elon and Henry "Hank" Thiel III (Claudia) of Roaring Gap, NC.; his granddaughters, Nicki Brown (John Mark), Tiffany Garrison (Walt), Emily Holub (Mike) and Natalie Allison; his sister Mary Lynn Ellis of Burlington; and his sister-in-law Geri Haas (Georgia) of Roswell. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Worship Center, marked for the Sustain Ministry, which provides food and other supplies to those in need.
