We are sad to announce that on May 5, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Jack Rogers Lindley Sr. of Burlington, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dorothy Clark "Dot" Lindley; his parents, Harvey Winfred Lindley and Cassie Mattox Lindley; his siblings, H. W. Lindley, Tom Lindley, Sr., Mary Elizabeth McCauley, Frances Clapp and Peggy Mullis; his children, Gail, Tom McGowen of Burlington, Jay, Susan Lindley of Burlington, Tamara and Joe Caforio of Marietta, GA; and his grandchildren, Lindley Lacey (McGowen), Davis McGowen, Will McGowen, Sam McGowen, Elizabeth Lynch (Lindley), Jack Lindley, III, John Lindley, Michael Savransky, Ally McKenzie (Savransky), Catrina Edge (Caforio) and Joey Caforio. He was also cherished by eighteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel UMC (2331 LaVista Dr, Burlington, NC 27215); AuthoraCare Hospice (914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215); or a charity of your choice that represents your relationship to Jack.

“Mrs. Lindley, Jay, Gail,Tamara and family, I am saddened to hear the news of Mr Lindley’s passing. Jack was one of the kindest men I’ve have ever met. He never failed to stop and speak and ask about family and how things were going . I remember his humor well while driving Jay and I before we had license. His jokes were terrific His community involvement in so many tasks made Burlington better in every way. He will be greatly missed.”
