He is survived by: his wife Linda Fay Riggs Stanley; his children, Felix "Phil" A. Stanley and Loretta Stanley; his grandchildren, Phillip Cates, Jennifer Davis (Bill), Mark Graham, Miranda Graham and Nicholas Graham; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Billy, Chazlyn, Adalyn, Sarah, Shannon, Phillip Jr., Josslyn, Terri and Amberlyn; his sister LaRue Long; his nieces, Cindy Russell and Melissa Long; and his nephew David Long.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rich & Thompson Chapel - Burlington (306 Glenwood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (3572 W Greensboro Chapel Hill Rd, Liberty, NC 27298).
