He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Pettrice Dalton and Gracie Crowder Dalton; and his siblings, Mabel Lewis, Carson Dalton, Bertha Shelton, Abner Dalton, Wilbur Dalton and Kenneth Dalton.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Lee Dofflemyer Dalton; his sons, Bryan Franklin Dalton (Carolyn) of Snow Camp and Alan Lee Dalton (Jeannine) of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Erin (Michael), Kristen (Kris), Kenzie, Julia (Alex), Matthew and Drew; and his brother Earl Dalton. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
