He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie McCollum and Helen Nixon McCollum; and his son Dennis James McCollum. He is survived by: his wife Sandra V. McCollum; his children, Marcus McCollum and Andrea McCollum Edmonds (Barnabas) of Brown Summit; his brothers, Charles McCollum (Annie) of Rocky Mount and George McCollum of Burlington; and his sister-in-law Wanda Vaughn of Burlington. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
