He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lee Moon and Ethel Beck Moon; and his brothers, Grady Moon (Cloyce), Harold Moon (Janice) and Raeford Cox (Rachel).
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Walker Moon; his children, Lisa Palmer (Jim) of Burlington, Kevin Moon (Angie) of Gibsonville, Paul Moon of Burlington and Sarah Bowman of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Chris Palmer (Crystal), Daniel Palmer (Marion), Drew Palmer (Brandy), Joseph Palmer (Abby), Adam Moon (Tess), Justin Moon, Jessica Sykes and Pierce Bowman; his great grandchildren, Skylar Palmer, Braxton Palmer, Lilly Palmer, Halie Palmer, Bella Palmer, Seth Carter, Ben Carter and Braylen Miller; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Moon, Janice Moon and Rachel Cox.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Richland Baptist Church Cemetery (2323 Old Humble Mill Rd, Asheboro, NC 27205).
