He is survived by: his wife Jo Anne A. Maynard; his sons, James W. Maynard Jr. (Barbara McQ) and John R. Maynard (Robin D. Maynard); his grandchildren, Stephen A. Maynard, James W. Maynard III (Elizabeth F. Maynard), Robert M. Maynard, Lauren M. Irby (William C. Irby) and Christian P. Maynard; and his great grandchildren, Grace C. Irby and Harris McQ.
