He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Caviness Kimrey; his parents, Clyde Kimrey and Mary Hudson Kimrey Kivette; his brother A. C. Kimrey; and his son-in-law Cody Vincent.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Kimrey (Machelle) of Burlington, Dawn Walker (Jerry) of Burlington, Anita McCoy (Mark) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Amy Pendergraph (Eric) of Graham; his grandchildren, Brandon Kimrey, Meleaha Kimrey McPherson (Xavier), Tyler Walker (Barbara), Jordan Walker Jon (Kayla) and Jack Pendergraph (Hannah); and his great grandchildren, Logan Simpkins, Jackson Walker and Lincoln Walker.
