She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore "Ted" Henry Sawyer, Sr. and Irma Davis Sawyer; her husband Samuel Eugene Walker; her daughter Tammy Jean Hayes; and her sister Judith Ann Redding.
She is survived by: her children, Terri Ann Walker Gilland (Roddy Foster) and Thomas Eugene "Tommy" Walker (Nicole Allen); her grandchildren, Ryan Gage Gilland (Julia), Tabitha Walker Hoyt (Karl), Samantha Ann-Marie Gilland (Colby Caron), Kayla Marie Walker Slayton (Justin) and Chesnee Gilland; her great grandchildren, Emersyn Gilland, Hudson Gilland, Lillian Hoyt, Lukas Hoyt, Jayne Thrift, Jayce Slayton, Ryleigh Caron, Benjamin Caron and Enzo Caron; her siblings, Dorinda Kay Sawyer Ivey (Mike) of Efland and Theodore "Ted" Henry Sawyer, Jr. (Teresa) of Raleigh; and her daughter Alana Cagle.
