She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Meeks and Lucille Smith Meeks; her husband Richard "Pedro" Conklin; her children, Jeffrey Lee Conklin and Jeanne Gates Shields; and her siblings, Barbra Apple, Bill Meeks, Dorothy Justice, Midge Poole, Tommy Meeks, Chris Meeks, George Meeks Bobby Meeks and Betty Meeks.
She is survived by: her son Timothy Richard Conklin of Burlington; her grandson Richard Andrew "Andy" Conklin (Becky) of Elon; her great grandchildren, JB Conklin, Justin Conklin and Brent Conklin; and her daughter-in-law Lisa Conklin of Elon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
