It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeral Max Sunderland Sr. (Burlington, North Carolina), born in Hobart, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Richard and Rose Mae Turmon Sunderland; his wife Sally Wynn Sunderland; his sisters, Patricia Sunderland Pitts and Billie Sunderland Dutra; and his grandson Jamie Morris.
He is survived by: his children, Jeral M. "Jerry" Sunderland, Jr. of Bassett, VA, Kenneth Basquez (Linda) of Charleston, TN, Lynn McAfee of Okeechobee, FL, Susan Morris of Ontario, NY, Terri Walsh of Whitsett, NC and Twenty. He is also survived by Twenty-two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
