We announce the death of Jerry Ronald Payne Sr. (Burlington, North Carolina), who passed away on June 19, 2026, at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Chandler Payne and Thomas Haywood Payne; his wife Nancy Hall Payne; his brother Tommy Payne; and his grandfather Jerry (Jesus).
He is survived by: his children, Susan Payne Yarbrough (Wayne) and Jerry Ronald "Ronnie" Payne, Jr. (Karla); his great grandchildren, Grace, Colton, Jeremiah, Hallie and Elle; his brother-in-law Ed Hall; and his close friend Willie.
