It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Richard Johnson of Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Johnson and Wonnie Baker Johnson; and his siblings, Johnny Johnson, Mildred Wall, Joan Tate and Vickie Marks Brinkley.
He is survived by: his wife Betsy Whitesell Johnson; his sons, Tim Johnson (Tracy) of Surfside Beach and Rick Johnson (Cindy) of Whitsett; his grandchildren, Bradley Johnson, Alex Johnson, Courtney Shallow (Brad) and Taylor Johnson (Ann); his stepgranddaughters, Amber Murphy and Brittany Moody; his great grandchildren, Lillian, Bodhi Shallow, Baxter and Charlie Johnson; and his brother Wesley Johnson (Joretta) of Burlington.
