With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jesse Mapp of Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on January 10, 2026 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Jesse farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jesse is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Percy Mapp, Jr. and Hilda Mae Haith Mapp; and his brother Carlacy Mapp. He is survived by: his siblings, Zelman Mapp (Claudene) of Joseph Edward, Carstalla Mapp (Rosa), DeWayne Mapp (Janice), Jessie Mapp-Wade (Cisco) and Darlene Mapp. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
