We bid farewell to John Allen Edgerton (Burlington, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 25, 2025 at the age of 89. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Jessica Hamilton; his parents, Anderson Edgerton and Crethie Allen Edgerton; his brothers, Rudolph and Douglas; Jacob, Mary Jordan Parrish, Clark Parrish and Marilyn Parrish Burnette.

He is survived by: his wife Eloise Parrish Grantham; his children, Belinda Kirby (Robert), Karen Hamilton (Steve), Greg Edgerton (Andrea) and Brent Edgerton (Mary Jo Ann); his grandchildren, Glenn Kirby (Kristen), Jonathon Kirby (Lindsay), Andrea Van Tromp (James), Jacob Hamilton (Kelsey), Jordan Edgerton, Logan Edgerton, Kailey Edgerton, Mary-Parrish Edgerton, Seth Edgerton, Anna Cress Grisham, Anna Mitchell and Olivia Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Beckham, Selwyn Kirby, Laney, Drew Bernard, Peyton, Micah Hamilton, Azalea Von Tromp, Lilian and John Kirby; and his sister Lois Sasser (Wayne). He is also survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
