He was predeceased by: his father Robert Paxton Dodge; and his brother William Bannard Dodge. He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Dodge; his sons, Michael Lawrence Dodge (Kara VanHooser) of Snow Camp and Paul Edmondson Dodge of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; his granddaughters, Elena Marie Dodge and Grace VanHooser Dodge; and his sisters, Mary Lou Dodge of Arlington, Virginia and Martha Ann Crowther of Arlington, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
