He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Phillip and Maggie Oakley Massey; and his siblings, Rosaline Stegall, Mae Rudd, Polly Hillard, Mildred Copeland, Preston "Buck", Ray, Melvin, Millard and Reid Massey.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Mae; his children, Johnny Massey, Jimmy Massey, Margaret Massey Dickey (Mike) and Bobbie Ann Massey; his grandchildren, Jonathan Massey (Melissa), Preston Massey (Samantha), Tommy Massey and Jessica Smith (Caleb); and his great grandchildren, Jonathan Massey, Jr., Laila Massey, Tessa Mae Smith, Tallulah Jean Smith, Chris Tart (Emily), Matthew and Michael Beagle.
