He is survived by: his wife Judy Porter Taylor; his children, John Richard Taylor (Trinity) of Burlington and Bonnie Taylor Reed (Chris) of Liberty; his grandchildren, Kacey Taylor, Ayden Taylor, Waylon Reed and Charlotte Reed; his siblings, Mikey, Toby of Benjamin, J. J. and Judy; and his great-aunt Jackie Cooper (Wayne) of Oregon.
