He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa Perry Shanklin and Lacy Thomas Shanklin, Sr.; his sister Marie Shanklin Stainback; and his grandparents, Sally Perry, John West Perry, Sandy Alexander Shanklin and Geneva Shanklin.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Whitlow Shanklin; and his brother Tommy Shanklin (Debbie). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of loving friends.
