He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wade Mabe, Sr. and Virginia Darlene Gallimore Mansfield; and his sisters, Marlece Garrett and Missy Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Isom Mabe; his children, Joey Mabe (Kristy), Ruth Isom, Sherry Telgarez (Ernie) and Angela Hathaway (Keith); his grandchildren, Gwendolyn Mabe, Erica Indorato, Brian Indorato, Gage Murray, Chastin Murray (Nicole), Michael Alcon (Shawna), Landon Alcon (Madison) and Jordan Hathaway; and his siblings, Scotty Joe Mabe, Abigail McDaniel and Kay Mills. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mabe Family Cemetery (1531 Meeting Ground Rd, Burlington, NC 27217).
