He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry and Leo Morene Hughes; his grandson Zachary Wilson; and his brother Wayne Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy White Hughes; his children, Ronald Lee Hughes (Linda) of Tampa, FL, Dale Lynn Hughes (Shannon) of Burlington, LuAnn Hughes Woody (Jeff) of Burlington and Julia Tabor (Jeff) of Burlington; his brother David Hughes of Macon, GA; and his grandchildren, Lindsey, Chad, Kimberly, Lauren, Ashley, Ronnie Jr., Amber, Laura, Brittany, Savannah, Christina and Hunter. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
