He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Highfill and Jennie Smith Highfill of Summerfield, NC; his grandson Rex Symmes; and his brother Michael Highfill. He is survived by: his wife Sandie Highfill; his children, Matthew Blaine Highfill (Ken Meeker) of Phoenix, AZ and Lauren Elizabeth Highfill (Jon Symmes) of St. Petersburg, FL; his grandchild Tate Symmes; his siblings, Keith Highfill of Summerfield, NC and Rene Collins (Roy) of Summerfield, NC.; and his nephews, Lucas of Summerfield and Seth Collins of Summerfield.
