She was predeceased by: her parents, Stull "Sterling" Carter and Bettie Wade Carter; her son-in-law Bobby Ray Dove, Sr.; her husband Bobby Ray Dove, Sr.; and her siblings-in-law, Sherry Carter, Ruth Carter and Johnny Reece.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Dove Terrell (Jamey) of Chapel Hill and Bobby "Ray" Dove, Jr. (Tammy) of Graham; her grandchildren, Dustin Dove (Maryrose), Cameron Terrell, Carter Terrell and Gabby Terrell; and her siblings, Billy Carter, Jimmy Carter, Bo Carter and Debra Reece.
