She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry J. "Harry" Lomax and Sarah Beulah Tilton Lomax; her husband Richard William Sculthorpe; and her grandson Jared William Franks. She is survived by: her children, Michael Joseph Sculthorpe (Susan) of Mike's Deli, Karyn S. Franks (Jonathan) and Patricia Murdock (Ronald); her grandchildren, Abigail Capps (Austin), Jonathan Murdock (Hannah), Sarah Williams (Brian) and Daniel Murdock (Natalie); her great grandchildren, Selah Williams, Phoebe Williams, Violet Williams, Mercy Williams, Chloe Capps, Jon Austin Capps and James Murdock; and her brother H. Joseph Lomax (Norma).
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Berea Christian Church (2848 Old, NC-87, Elon, NC 27244).
