She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew Ray Porterfield; her parents, Harvey Kent Lefler and Lura Gertrude Spraker Lefler; and her son-in-law Chris Kakavas. She is survived by: her children, Diana Kakavas, Patricia Church (Wayne), Tamara Smith (Brian "Shaggy") and Andrew R. Porterfield, Jr. (Shelia); and her sister Clara Callahan. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
