She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Hoke Sides and Macie Whitten Sides; her husbands, Joseph Ashley and Clarence Jones; and her son Jerry Ashley.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Ashley of Burlington and Donna Marlowe (Steve) of Archdale; and her grandsons, Joseph Ashley, Christopher Ashley, Jacob Marlowe and Dylan Marlowe. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
