She was predeceased by: her son Tony Murphy; her parents, Donnie Weldon Murphy and Gladys H. Murphy; her siblings, Weldon "Butch" Murphy, Gladys "Mickey" Core, Jody Thompson, Cora Norman and Bonnie Murphy; and her brother-in-law Carl Bozeman.
She is survived by: her children, Todd Murphy, Tammy Murphy and Garnetta Enoch; her siblings, Earl Murphy, Donnie Murphy, Maggie Murphy and Elaine Burnette; her granddaughters, Latoya Murphy and Daniqua Hatfield; and her great grandchild Fabian Murphy. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sharpe Funeral Home (520 Rosenwald St, Burlington, NC 27217). A burial was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the North Lawn Cemetery (947 Ross St, Burlington, NC 27217).
