She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Hancock and Linda Sue Shumate; and her pet Chatty. She is survived by: her husband David Allen Lewis; her children, Nakia "Nicky" Carter Burr (Chuck), Carrie Carter Brame (Keith), Jason Leigh Carter and Daniel Wade Carter (Melissa); her stepchildren, AJ Lewis and Kenneth "Jacob" Lewis (Kaylee); and her siblings, James "Eddie" Hancock, Jr. (Renee), Shellee Harrison (Danny), Jeri Dale Chrisley (Keith), Butch Hancock (Cathy), Edward Lee Hancock, Mike Hancock (Nina) and Tiffany Mustard (Brandon). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
