He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harlon and Minnie Jones Barber; the mother of his children Lorene Barber; his son-in-law Doug Satterfield; and his siblings, Kate Barber Evans and Russell Barber.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Barber; his daughters, Debbie Satterfield and Angie Brame (David); his grandsons, Daniel Satterfield, Wesley Brame (Mallory) and Bo Brame (Haley); his great grandchildren, Sadie, Savannah, Cooper, Kennedy and Cassidy Brame; his brother Curtis Barber; and his stepchildren, Brian Oakes (Caressa), Chris Oakes (Brooke), Matthew Oakes (Faith), Alan Oakes (Ashley) and Lori Carroll (Tim). He is also survived by thirteen step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
