He was predeceased by: his mother Grace Irene Wood Butner; his stepfather Lee Butner; his great grandchild Mason Wiggington; his siblings, Ann Davis and Gary Butner; and his close friend Jerry Bumgarner.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly "Kim" Walker (Todd Thornton) and Donald "Donnie" Scott (Lorie); his grandsons, Corey, Cody and Seth; and his sister Barbara Terrell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
