He was predeceased by: his father Bobby Lee Brown; his grandparents, Rupert, Pauline Brown, Peter L. and Annie M. Payne Summers; and his friend Scott Albright.

He is survived by: his mother Wanda Summers Brown; his siblings, Rhonda Brown Coble (Jim) of Greensboro, Teresa Dowd (Nick), Jeff Brown and Terry Brown (Julia) of Greensboro; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Brown, Lydia Brown, Candice Vaquero, Nicolas Carreola of Mérida Yucatán and Jonathan Brown; and his great-nephew Zaiel Avelar. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
