He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Sterling Day and Mary Bell Baynes Day; his wife Martha Day; his son James Monroe Day; and his brothers, John William Day and Ralph Maynard Day.
He is survived by: his daughter Cecelia Allen (Harry); his siblings, Joe Day, Alfred Maynard Day (Sandra) and Ida Mae Day Scales; his grandchildren, Jazmine, Bryan, Marcus and Angela; and his stepchildren, Belinda Burnette (Bill), Julies Lea (Crystal) and Lawanner "Wanda" Lea. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
