He is survived by: his children, Paula M. Gavasto and Justin P. Gavasto; his wife Rosemarie Gavasto; his grandchildren, Linsey Brooke Gavasto and Mary-Scott Gavasto; and his brother-in-law Gary Zuccarelli (Kathy).
In lieu of flowers, Paul requested donations be made to the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission, preferably either the Wildlife Diversity Endowment Fund or the NC Nongame & Endangered Wildlife Fund @ ncwildlife.org.
