She is survived by: her son Vernon Goodwin of Greensboro; her granddaughters, Lindsey Goodwin (Lucas Lowery), Amanda Monday (Zack Monday) and Jennifer Robertson; her siblings, Jack Hensley (Joyce Hensley) and Glenda Barker; her sister-in-law Nancy Hensley; her great grandchildren, Declan Lowery, Jaxson and Ashton Monday; and her nieces and nephews, Dawn Burrows, Lisa Hensley, Tony, Brenda Hensley, Sid and Annette Barker. She is also survived by many extended family members and loving friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home (306 Glenwood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215).
