He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Hackney Capps, Sr. and Alene Blanchard Capps; his siblings, Charlie Hackney Capps, Jr., Sam Capps, Mary Ruth Turner (late Pete) and Becky Anderson (late Charlie); his brother-in-law Kenny Johnson; and his father-in-law Jacob "JB" Wyrick, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Sharon "Sherry" Wyrick Capps; his sons, Richard Clinton "Clint" Capps (Tammy) of Gibsonville and Michael Dwayne Capps (Toni) of McLeansville; his grandchildren, Eden Brooke Capps and Erik Thomas Capps; his sister-in-law Carolyn Capps; and his mother-in-law Dorothy Hepler Wyrick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
