He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Morel Guthrie and Beatrice Stamey Guthrie Wyatt; his wife Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Guthrie; his children, Bonnie Stanley and Chuck Tharp; his brother JB Stamey; and his daughter-in-law Meena Guthrie.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Guthrie (Margaret) of Burlington, Howard B. "H. B." Terry (Marcia) of Burlington, Linda Kay Aday of Alabama and Gloria Reichert of Burlington; his grandchildren, Jason Guthrie (Cassie), Brian Guthrie, Matthew Guthrie (Stacy), Laura Lee (Josh), Tyler Tharp, Bryton Somers, Haley Terry and Michael Stanley; his great grandchildren, Leander Guthrie, Kayden Guthrie, Mason Fay, Vayu Guthrie, Paisley Guthrie, Sadie Guthrie, Ellie Guthrie, Maggie Guthrie, Kaydence Dean, Serenity Dean, Kingston Bigelow, Ethan Lee and Wyatt Lee; and his siblings, Mike Guthrie (Donna), Oscar Guy Thomas and Sheila Guthrie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his canine companion.
