He is survived by: his sister Jane Smith of Dallas, Texas; his nephews, Kevin Smith of Dallas and James Smith of Florida; his daughter Lisa Godwin (Jon Godwin); his grandson Colin Godwin of Mebane; his great grandchild Scott Winningham; Gavin and Connor Winningham of Concord.
