He is survived by: his wife Joni Grooms; his children, Jami Doby (John) and Robert Grooms, Jr.; his grandchildren, Anna (Brandon), Stephanie (Zach), Caleb, Chandler, Sarah, Landon, Cohen and Kaitlyn; his great grandchildren, Zyair, Maddox and Zion; and his siblings, Barbara Dingle (Dickey) and Ransome Grooms (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
