Rodney Eric Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on December 14, 2021, at the age of 54, Rodney Eric Smith of Burlington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Enoch Nathaniel Smith and Edith Mae Burton Smith; his brother Clyde Smith; and his brother-in-law Robert Alston. He is survived by: his children, Rodney Wade and Brittany Smith; his siblings, Walter Lee Smith (Lisa), Michael Smith (Lucille), Jerry Smith, Edith Paulette Alston, Joanne Fuller and Deborah Smith; and his grandchildren, Janiya Adams, Jakayla Wade, Jalasha Wade, Yamarie Wade and Yamir Wade.

Rodney's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation, and he did just that with the help of HonorBridge Miracles in Sight.
