He was predeceased by: his parents, L. A. Hensley and Mary Belle Hall Hensley; and his wife Sandra Matkins Hensley. He is survived by: his sons, John Timothy "Tim" Hensley (Teresa) of Burlington, Patrick Ryan Hensley (Angela) of Iowa and Ronald Andrew "Andy" Hensley (Dawn) of Yanceyville; his grandchildren, Tara Matkins (Chris), Christopher Hensley (Meredith), Taylor Fogleman (Steven), Tyler, Mati and Gracie Hensley; his great grandchildren, Kaylie, Kenlie, Brenna, Audrey, Hunter, Zack, Landon, Emerson, Autumn and Crew; his stepgrandchildren, Tori and Haley Adams; his stepgreat-grandson Oscar Adams; and his sisters, Brenda H. Borst (Bill) of Burlington and Cathy H. Holt (Mike) of Elon.
