He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Oakel Wicker, Sr. and Opal Vest Wicker; and his wife Stella Murray Wicker. He is survived by : his children, Pete Wicker (Deonna) and Tammy Wade (Ricky); his grandchildren, Joshua Wade (Kathaleen) and Faith Wade; his great grandchild Oliver Wade; and his siblings, Max Wicker, Susie Wicker and Molly Santini.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Authoracare Collective Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Road Burlington, NC 27215.
