Ruth Clapp Gaines Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Clapp Gaines (Burlington, North Carolina), born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Myrtle Lambert Clapp; her husband Walter Mack Gaines; her children, Larry Mack Gaines and Tempy Kimrey; and her stepson Walter Mac Gaines.

She is survived by: her daughter Belinda Ricketts (Martin) of Carolina Beach, NC; her grandchildren, Regina Taylor, Jeff Henderson, Janice Rice and Mark Gaines (Heidi); her great grandchildren, Hayley Whitlock, Alyssa Gaines and Ella Gaines; her great great grandchild Luna Whitney; and her siblings, Arnold Clapp (Margaret) and Sue Thaxton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
