She was predeceased by: her husband Hal Vernon Jones; her parents, Talmadge Hinshaw and Virgia May Garrett Hinshaw; her son Rex Jones; and her sister Frances Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Jones of Burlington, Terry Jones (Carolyn) of Siler City, Mike Jones (Yvonne) of Graham, Tom Jones (Ruth) of Burlington, James "Blue" Jones of Burlington and Tim Jones of Burlington. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
